Homebrew AM Transmitter

This really neat looking (before it was butchered) transmitter came to me from the junk pile of another ham. Somewhere in the past, somebody had ripped the VFO section out of it, getting impatient along the way.

The PA uses a 5 pin tube with the anode on the top cap. I'd wager an 807. Interesting matching arrangement, obviously from a commercial rig of some type.

A five valve modulator, looks very similar to the April 1947 QST design. Woden UM2 modulation transformer. Also note the magic eye modulation monitor.

Some ham spent a lot of time and dedication on this rig, and some other ham butchered it. I... merely documented it.
